Managing Partner of IDEMA
Güler Altınsoy is the Managing Partner of IDEMA (www.idema.com.tr), which is a special entrepreneurship initiative developing and implementing socio-economic development projects, realizing innovative solutions across Turkey and the world. She has extensive program design and implementation experience on humanitarian aid, disaster preparedness, local governance and participation, economic empowerment of disadvantaged groups and capacity building since 2004. Ms. Altinsoy worked as Program Manager with major development organizations like UNDP, UNFPA, World Bank, US Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Save the Children in Turkey, Egypt and Iraq.
Ms. Altinsoy is a Development Expert with main focus on economic empowerment of disadvantaged groups. Currently she is managing “Business Disaster Resiliency Program for Turkey” or “Saglam KOBI in Turkish, implemented in partnership of The UPS Foundation, the World Economic Forum, the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey (CSR-Turkey). She is also coordinating Turkey network of Connecting Business Initiative (CBi).
Guler Altınsoy holds a BA. on Political Science and International Relations from Marmara University and MSc Development Studies, from University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
