Director for Southeast Europe, PwC and former Prime Minister of Montenegro
Mr. Igor Lukšić is the Director for Southeast Europe of PwC and former Prime Minister of Montenegro.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Lukšić has worked as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Affairs and European Integration (2012-2016). He also served as Prime Minister from 2010 to 2012, Minister of Finance (2004-2010) and Member of Parliament of Montenegro (2001-2003).
Spending most of his professional career up to date in the public sector and serving in several governmental positions, Mr. Lukšić was committed to political and economic freedoms giving boost to many economic and political reforms. Mr. Igor advocated for transparency, put emphasis on dialogue and proactive approach both related to internal and foreign relations. While Prime Minister Montenegro, he opened accession talks with the EU and completed accession to WTO.
Mr. Lukšić holds PhD in the economics of transition and is an associate professor of the University of Donja Gorica (UDG) in Podgorica, Montenegro.
