Programme Manager at UNDP
Ozan Çakmak is Programme Manager at UNDP with managing its Syria Crisis Response and Resilience Programme in Turkey. Prior to joining UNDP, he worked as the Project Manager and Policy and Partnerships Officer for seven years at the International Labour Organization (ILO) with managing multiple projects and coordinating policy work on labour market policies, skills development, youth employment and green jobs. He was also focal point for SDGs, G20 Presidency of Turkey in 2015 and the development of UNDCS (2016-2020) during his assignment at the ILO in Turkey.
He also worked as a civil engineer before joining the ILO. Between 2004 and 2008, he served as Human Development Consultant in the World Bank, with providing advisory services on youth inclusion, employment and social protection to Turkey country office and ECA regional division of the World Bank.
Ozan Cakmak holds a Master of Science degree in Social Policy from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey.
